Douglas Dluzen is the Director of the Doctoral and Postdoctoral Life Design at The Johns Hopkins University, overseeing the Professional Development and Career Office since January 2022. Additionally, Douglas serves as the Chair of the Membership Engagement Committee for the American Society of Human Genetics and is a member of both the Science Policy Committee and the Training and Opportunities Subcommittee for the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology. Previously, Douglas held roles as a Senior Science Writer/Editor at the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities and as an Assistant Professor of Biology at Morgan State University. With a Ph.D. in Genetics from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, Douglas is deeply committed to enhancing the social and economic impact of scientific research through education and training initiatives.
