Rudy Simms

Rudy Simms is currently the Director of the Human Rights Department at the City of Des Moines, a position held since August 2006. Prior to this role, Rudy served as the Iowa Region Director at NCCJ The National Conference for Community and Justice from 1980 to 2002. With a background in education from Kirkwood Community College, University of Iowa, and Upper Iowa University, Rudy administers the agency to enforce anti-discrimination laws and educates both the public and private sectors on civil and human rights issues.
