Deborah Keegan

Deborah Keegan serves as Communications Manager for the City of Des Plaines since August 2022, overseeing media, print, digital communications, and community engagement initiatives. Previous experience includes Communications Specialist for Evanston/Skokie School District #65, where Deborah enhanced stakeholder awareness, and Communications Coordinator for Kenilworth School District #38, providing public relations support and developing comprehensive communication plans. Additional roles encompass part-time Communications Manager for the Gift of Adoption Fund, Project Coordinator at Northwestern University, and Digital Communications Manager for the Winnetka-Northfield Chamber of Commerce. Earlier career highlights include Head of Community Engagement for Lincolnwood Public Library District, Marketing Specialist/Graphic Designer for the City of Lake Forest Parks and Recreation, and various positions at Chicago Sun-Times and Living Without Magazine. Deborah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications from Michigan State University and is currently pursuing an Integrated Marketing Communications Certificate at DePaul University.
