James Lave has extensive experience in public safety, having served as a Police Officer for the City of Des Plaines since April 2004 and previously with the Chicago Police Department from November 1996 to April 2004. Prior to this, James worked as a Correctional Officer with the Cook County Sheriff's Department from February 1992 to November 1996 and as a Paid on Call Firefighter with the Bridgeview Fire Department between September 1985 and October 1993. In terms of education, James holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Safety Management from Calumet College of St. Joseph and an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice from the City Colleges of Chicago-Richard J Daley College, along with a high school diploma from Argo Community High School.
