Christopher Samp

Christopher Samp has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. Christopher currently holds the position of Director of the Office of Disability Affairs at the City of Detroit. Prior to this role, Christopher worked as a Consultant at Spark Group Consulting, where they provided guidance in community relations, fundraising, process efficiency, and strategic planning. Christopher also served as the Director of Donor Stewardship at Pacific Lutheran University, overseeing various stewardship efforts and donor-funded public lectures. Christopher has demonstrated their fundraising leadership skills as the Development Director at Abused Deaf Women's Advocacy Services (ADWAS) and has worked as a Research Assistant and Staff Assistant for Senator Richard J. Durbin (D-IL) in the United States Senate. Additionally, they have held various positions at PEN-International program at RIT/NTID, including Technical Assistant and Staff Assistant. Christopher's earlier experience includes serving as an NTID Admissions Counselor at Rochester Institute of Technology and as a Community Advocate at the same institution.

Christopher Samp holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Science, Technology, and Public Policy from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Christopher also obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Public Policy from the same institution. In addition, they hold a Certificate in Fundraising Management from the University of Washington Tacoma, which was earned between 2017 and 2018. Furthermore, Christopher obtained a Certificate in Professional Writing for Business, Industry, and Government from the Northern Virginia Community College between 2012 and 2013. Christopher has also obtained additional certifications, including Lean Six Sigma Green Belt - Transaction from MoreSteam (expected in 2023) and Certified ADA Coordinator from the Great Plains ADA Center (obtained in 2021).
