Manager II - Civil Rights, Inclusion And Opportunity at City of Detroit

Lesa Kent has extensive experience in civil rights and employee relations within the City of Detroit. Since December 2017, Lesa serves as Manager II for Civil Rights, Inclusion, and Opportunity, overseeing employee relations functions related to civil rights and workplace violence, while advising human resource representatives and management on relevant employment laws. Previously, from November 2011 to 2017, Lesa worked as a Human Rights Specialist, conducting thorough investigations of alleged violations of ordinances and laws regarding discrimination and harassment, and providing counsel to employees on workplace policies. Lesa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Central State University.
