Teri Hawks Goodmann has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Teri Hawks began their career in 1979, working in various political organizations, where they coordinated and managed political campaigns for candidates at the local, state, and federal levels. Teri Hawks served in campaign leadership positions and also worked as a consultant. In 1995, Teri joined the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium/Dubuque County Historical Society, where they held several roles, including Marketing Director, Development Director, and Director of National Advancement. During their time there, they led marketing and public relations efforts, quadrupled the membership program, planned and managed events, and expanded the volunteer program. In 2007, Teri joined the City of Dubuque as an Assistant City Manager. In this role, they were responsible for managing intergovernmental relations, strategic partnerships, and grant funding. Teri Hawks served as the City legislative liaison, maintaining effective relationships with elected and appointed government officials at various levels. Teri also focused on resource development and public policy. In 2020, they joined Hawks Goodmann Associates as a Government Relations/Resource Consultant. Currently, Teri is the Director of Strategic Partnerships for the City of Dubuque, a role they started in March 2021.
Teri Hawks Goodmann obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Clarke University between 1972 and 1976. Teri Hawks'scourse of study included History, French, and Spanish.
