Richard Platto

Richard Platto is an experienced finance professional with a diverse background in various organizations. Starting from 1998, they worked as a Senior Auditor at Deloitte & Touche. In 2000, they joined Scientific Atlanta as a Services Financial Analyst, and later became a Sales Financial Analyst. Richard then worked at Cox Communications as a Regional Accounting Analyst before moving to Siemens Energy & Automation - Power Distribution and Controls Division as a Senior Financial Analyst. In 2005, Richard became the Capital Budget Manager at Gwinnett County Government - Department of Water Resources, and later transitioned to the role of Finance Manager. In 2014, they joined Southern Company as a Senior Budget Analyst. Richard then worked as a Controller at the City of Smyrna, Georgia before becoming the Finance Director at the City of Doraville, Georgia. Currently, they are serving as the Finance Director at the City of Dunwoody, Georgia since 2020. Throughout their career, Richard has demonstrated their expertise in financial planning, budgeting, accounting, and compliance, bringing value to the organizations they have worked with.
