Kimberly Martin Rehberg

City Attorney

Kimberly Martin Rehberg has extensive experience in municipal law, serving as City Attorney for the City of Durham since April 2005, providing executive-level legal advice to city administration and council while representing the city in litigation at various court levels. Prior roles include Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where instruction and consultation focused on real property law and taxation, and Assistant County Attorney for Durham County, managing property tax-related civil cases. Kimberly also gained experience as Assistant General Counsel for the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners, advising county officials on legal matters impacting public policy. Kimberly holds a Juris Doctorate from Duke University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
