Antonio Lopez

Antonio Lopez currently serves as a City Councilman for the City of East Palo Alto since December 2020. Prior to this role, Antonio held the position of District Representative in the Office of State Senator Josh Becker (D-13) from April 2021 to May 2023. Antonio is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Modern Thought and Literature at Stanford University, with an expected graduation date in 2025. Educational background includes a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Modern Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Oxford (2018-2020), a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing - Poetry from Rutgers University - Newark (2016-2018), and a Bachelor's degree in African-American/Black Studies from Duke University (2012-2016).
