Michael Allen, AICP has extensive experience in community development and planning. Michael is currently serving as the Community Development Director for the City of El Segundo. Previously, they held the role of Planning Manager in the Current Planning Division for the City of Culver City from 2017 to 2021. Prior to that, they worked for the City of Cudahy, where they held various roles including Community Development Manager, Acting Director of Community Development and Community Services, and City Planner. Their work experience spans over a decade and demonstrates their expertise in urban planning and development.
Michael Allen, AICP received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Urban and Regional Planning from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona between 2001 and 2006. Michael then pursued further education at Ashford University, where they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Organizational Management, Public Administration from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, in December 2020, they earned an AICP certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners.
