Jamila Criss, MPA, currently serves as the Assistant City Administrator for the City of Fairburn since March 2022. Prior to this role, Jamila Criss worked for the City of South Fulton Georgia as Special Projects Manager and Executive Assistant to the City Manager from May 2018 to March 2022. Jamila Criss also held the position of Executive Assistant at Fulton County Government from July 2015 to May 2018 and served as Reservation & Events Assistant for the City of Hapeville between April 2012 and July 2015. Municipality located in Fulton County about ten minutes southwest of Hartfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and about twenty-five minutes from downtown Atlanta. The City of Fairburn has 150 employees with an annual General Fund budget of about $11 million. Downtown Fairburn is centered around the intersection of Highways 29 and 92. Recent annexation has provided exposure to the interchange of Interstate 85 and Highway 74. The City provides traditional police, fire, and public works services to 14,000 residents. Electric, water, sewer, storm water, and sanitation services are offered as well. Fairburn is a member of the Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia (MEAG) and the South Fultion County Water & Sewer Authority.
