Todd Martens

Fire Chief at City of Fort Saskatchewan

Todd Martens has extensive work experience in the field of protective services and fire management. Todd currently serves as the Fire Chief for the City of Fort Saskatchewan since February 2021. Prior to this, Todd worked as the Director of Protective Services / Fire Chief for the Town of Hinton from December 2014 to February 2021. Todd also held the position of Deputy Fire Chief of Operations & Training at the Regional District of East Kootenay from March 2013 to December 2014. Additionally, Todd has worked in various roles including admin at fcabc, Alberta Health Services firefighter at Coaldale, and Fire Fighter/Vice President of the Fort McMurray Fire Fighters Union at the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. Todd started their career as a firefighter at the Coaldale & District Emergency Services in 1997.

Todd Martens has a certificate in Leadership from MacEwan University. Todd also has a Municipal Executive Certificate and a degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Alberta. Additionally, they have attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), but the degree and field of study are not specified.
