Catherine Toppel

Catherine Toppel currently serves as the Deputy Director of Neighborhood Code Compliance for the City of Fort Wayne since June 2021. With extensive experience in property maintenance, zoning, and quality of life issues, Catherine has held the position of Director of Property Maintenance, Zoning, and Quality of Life for Jefferson Parish since March 2014. Previous roles include Senior Advisor to Code Enforcement for the City of South Bend and Director of Code Enforcement for the same city, where responsibilities included managing operations of the Department of Code Enforcement and South Bend Animal Control. Additional experience includes positions as Assistant Zoning Administrator and Administrative Assistant at St. Joseph County Building Department, as well as earlier roles in retail and food service.
