Mark Lee, MPA, EFO, currently serves as Fire Chief for the City of Garland since August 2016, bringing over 40 years of experience in fire services. Prior to this role, Mark held the position of Fire Chief at the City of Murphy, Texas from September 2008 to July 2016, after serving as Assistant Chief from November 2006. Mark's career began at the Lewisville Fire Department, where Mark advanced from various positions, including Fire Captain and Paramedic. Additionally, Mark has held the position of Associate Faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, imparting knowledge as an EMT and Paramedic Instructor. Mark's educational background includes a Master of Public Administration from The University of Texas at Dallas and a Bachelor of Science in Training Development and Instruction from Texas A&M University-Commerce, among other degrees in fire protection and liberal arts.
