Laurie Brewer

Laurie Brewer, ICMA-CM, has extensive experience in municipal finance and management, currently serving as the Assistant City Manager and previously as Deputy City Manager and Finance Director for the City of Georgetown since April 2009. Brewer's prior roles include Finance Director for the City of Hutto, overseeing comprehensive financial administration, and Assistant Director of Finance for the City of Georgetown, where responsibilities included budget preparation and financial reporting. Additionally, Brewer served as an Executive Board Member for the Government Finance Officers Association from May 2020 to May 2023. Educational credentials include a Master of Public Administration from Sam Houston State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the same institution, along with accreditation as a Congress for New Urbanism professional from the University of Miami School of Architecture.
