Anita Hitchcock

Anita Hitchcock has been the City Attorney at the City of Grand Rapids for over three years. Anita has also worked as an attorney at the City of Grand Rapids for over ten years.

Anita Hitchcock attended Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, where they earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree. Prior to attending law school, Hitchcock earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sociology from Aquinas College - Grand Rapids.

They are on a team with Mark Washington - City Manager, John Globensky - City Treasurer, and Joel Hondorp - City Clerk. Their manager is Rosalynn Bliss, Mayor. Mike Hoeker - Assistant City Attorney II, Patrick Beatty - Assistant City Attorney II, and Sherry Batzer - Director of Legal Affairs - Municipal Affairs report to Anita Hitchcock.
