Vance Chang

Vance Chang is a legal professional with extensive experience in municipal law and corporate governance. Currently serving as Deputy City Attorney for the City of San José since January 2020, Vance conducts legal research, prepares legal documents, advises city departments, and represents the city in litigation and meetings. Previously, Vance was a Partner at Wong, Chang & Yang LLP, overseeing firm operations and developing successful strategies. Experience includes working as an Attorney at Wong & Associates, General Counsel for 85C Bakery Cafe, and internships with the California Department of Public Health and the Alaska Department of Law, among others. Vance holds a JD from the University of the Pacific - McGeorge School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
