Matthew Ellis is the current Archives Assistant at the City of Grand Rapids. Matthew has also worked as an Associate Archivist at the Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital from September 2014 to October 2016, and as an Assistant Manager at Hot Topic from January 2012 to April 2015.

Matthew Ellis was born on October 1, 1990, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Matthew attended Grand Rapids Community College from 2008 to 2012, where they majored in history. After graduating, they began working at Hot Topic. Matthew worked there for three years before being promoted to assistant manager. In 2014, they began working at the Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital as an associate archivist. Matthew worked there for two years before being promoted to archives assistant at the City of Grand Rapids.

Matthew Ellis is a highly skilled and experienced archives assistant. Matthew has a passion for history and enjoys helping people learn about the past. Matthew is a dedicated worker who takes pride in their work and is always willing to go the extra mile to get the job done right.
