Molly Clarin is the current Chief Financial Officer at the City of Grand Rapids. Molly was previously the Finance Manager for Solid Waste Services at the Municipality of Anchorage from May 2011 to November 2014. In this role, they were responsible for managing the operating and capital budgeting and spending for the utility, including planning and forecasting revenues and expenditures, cashflow analysis, and management in grants and loan programs. Molly also supervised the finance and collections teams and was responsible for hiring and training employees. Additionally, Molly developed and oversaw Solid Waste Services submissions for the Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports for the Municipality of Anchorage and audit in accordance with GAAP/GASB standards.
Prior to their role at the Municipality of Anchorage, Molly was a Graduate Assistant at the University of Alaska Anchorage from January 2011 to May 2011. Molly also worked as a Lead Fitness Instructor at Millennium Health and Fitness, Inc. from January 2010 to December 2014. Molly began their career as a Financial Analyst at Umbaugh & Associates from September 2003 to November 2009.
Molly Clarin has a MBA in Business Administration from the University of Alaska Anchorage and a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Michigan State University.
