Wardell Frazier Jr.

Wardell Frazier Jr. has extensive experience in community relations, workforce development, and education. Currently serving as Commissioner for the Community Relations Commission with the City of Grand Rapids since June 2023, Wardell also founded and serves as Executive Director of SWAG: Succeeding While Achieving Greatness Inc. since April 2016. Previous roles include Community Relations Specialist with The Rapid, Workforce Development Liaison at LINC Community Revitalization, and Housing Resource Specialist with Community Rebuilders. Wardell's background in educational and developmental programs spans various organizations, including Safe Haven Ministries and the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids, with significant responsibilities in curriculum development, classroom management, and crisis intervention. Wardell Frazier Jr. holds an Associate's degree in Business Administration and Management from Grand Rapids Community College.
