Nicole Hornett serves as the Community Development Coordinator for the City of Grande Prairie since January 2021, actively facilitating community initiatives and coordinating various committees and councils. Prior experience includes over 14 years with the Government of Alberta in multiple roles such as 4-H Specialist, Agricultural Health & Safety Specialist, and Provincial Green Certificate Program Coordinator, focusing on youth leadership, safety education, and agricultural training. Early career roles include positions at the Government of Canada and the Animal Medical Centre North, among others. Nicole holds a Bachelor of Education from Brock University, a Certificate in Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety from the University of Victoria, and multiple degrees in biology and veterinary technology.
