Kathryn Nelson

Kathryn (Kathy) Nelson is an experienced planning and landscape architecture professional with a diverse background in park and recreation management, community development, and urban design. Currently serving as Planning Manager for the City of Grapevine Parks & Recreation Department since January 2015 and Executive Director of Keep Grapevine Beautiful since September 2015, Kathryn possesses extensive expertise in planning and design gained through previous roles at Michael Baker Jr. Inc. and Tetra Tech, Inc. Additionally, Kathryn held various positions with the City of Del Rio, including Assistant Parks, Recreation and Facilities Director. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture from Texas A&M University and a Master's Degree in Land Use and Community Development from the University of Arizona.
