Kelen Dowdy is an experienced professional in water resources and ecological research, currently serving as the Water Resources Planning and Watershed Manager and previously as Water Administrator I at the City of Greeley since November 2018. Prior roles include Ecological Data Analyst and Research Manager, as well as Ecological Technician at the U.S. Geological Survey from April 2016 to November 2018. Kelen's academic background includes a Master of Science in Applied Ecology with a minor in Statistics from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Science in Ecology, Evolution, and Environmental Biology from Appalachian State University. Notable research experience includes acting as a research assistant on projects involving cliff face nutrient cycling and the impact of rock climbing on vegetation.
