Heather Yates

Heather Yates possesses extensive experience in environmental management, currently serving as Manager of Compliance Programs & Performance at the City of Guelph since June 2010. Yates oversees teams focused on drinking water, wastewater, and solid waste management, ensuring compliance with legislative and best practice standards while promoting sustainable public services. Prior roles include Acting Manager, Compliance & Performance, Project Manager for Guelph's Integrated Water Management Strategy, and various supervisory positions related to environmental programs and water efficiency. Earlier experience includes positions at Credit Valley Conservation, and Yates holds an Honours Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Forest Conservation from Lakehead University and completed the Young Conservation Professionals Career Development Program at the University of Guelph.
