Kristin Wheaton (Kris)

Kristin Wheaton is a seasoned civil and environmental engineer with extensive experience in program and project management. Currently serving as City Engineer for the City of Hackensack since September 2022, Kristin has previously held positions such as Senior Project Manager at Michael Baker International and Senior Principal/Project Manager at ARCADIS U.S., where expertise encompassed operations assistance, condition and risk assessment, capital improvements planning, and hydraulic evaluations. Kristin has also contributed as a municipal volunteer, serving on the Vernon Township Planning Board and Board of Health. Earlier career roles include Sr. Project Engineer at Hazen and Sawyer and Engineer at Weston & Sampson Engineers, focusing on environmental engineering. Kristin holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
