Jonathan McBride

Jonathan McBride has extensive experience in community development and public service, currently serving as the Division Manager for Housing & Neighborhood Services with the City of Hampton since December 2005. In this role, Jonathan leads a dedicated team in fostering strong partnerships between local government and community organizations to enhance neighborhood vitality. Previous positions include Neighborhood Development Associate II, where Jonathan engaged with various stakeholders on initiatives at local and regional levels, and Training Consultant at Thomas Nelson Community College’s Diversity Institute. Jonathan also held roles at Sprint Nextel and Alternatives, Inc., focusing on customer service and youth development, respectively. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Public Policy & Management from SOAS University of London and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with a focus on HR Counseling from Old Dominion University.
