Suja Lowenthal

Suja Lowenthal, DPPD, currently serves as the City Manager for the City of Hermosa Beach since September 2018, following a tenure as Senior Advisor to the City Manager in Santa Monica from July 2012 to August 2018. Prior experience includes roles as Transit Planning & Community Engagement Manager in Long Beach, along with elected positions as Vice Mayor and City Councilmember. Suja Lowenthal's earlier career featured leadership positions at the Water Replenishment District and the Central and West Basin Municipal Water Districts, focusing on strategic planning and public outreach. Suja Lowenthal holds a Doctorate in Policy, Planning & Development from the University of Southern California, an MBA in Marketing from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from UCLA.
