Matt Maloney

Matt Maloney is an experienced data science professional currently serving as a Data Science Manager at City of Hope since October 2020, where management of predictive modeling, AI, and advanced analytics solutions occurs within the Applied AI & Data Science department. Previously, Matt held various data science roles at University of Utah Health from August 2019 to October 2020, and Zions Bancorporation, where significant contributions included the development of a time series model for deposit forecasting. Matt's academic background includes a PhD in Economics from the University of Wyoming, with research focused on interdisciplinary modeling in environmental and financial economics, and a B.A. in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Additional experience includes roles in equity research and investment strategies.
