Wafa Samara

Wafa Samara serves as the Vice President and Chief Pharmacy Officer at City of Hope since June 2020, bringing extensive experience in pharmacy leadership. Prior to this role, Wafa held positions such as Chief of Pharmacy Service at The National Institutes of Health from August 2017 to June 2020 and Chief of Pharmacy at the VA Central California Health Care System from March 2015 to August 2017. Wafa's earlier experience includes serving as Associate Medical Center Director at the VA San Francisco Health Care System and as Associate Chief of Pharmacy at the VA Northern California Health Care System. Wafa earned a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, alongside a Quality Assurance Certification from GMP Training.
