Angela Blanchard is an experienced leader in community development and resilience, currently serving as the Chief Recovery and Resilience Officer for the City of Houston Mayor's Office since August 2024. Blanchard is also the President of Angela Blanchard Advisory Services, which focuses on building evolutionary organizations. As a Senior Fellow at Brown University's Watson Institute for International Development and Public Affairs, Blanchard contributes to international development discourse. Previously, Blanchard was the President and CEO of BakerRipley from 1995 to 2021, where Angela led the organization to national recognition as the largest community development organization in Texas. Earlier in their career, Blanchard served as the Chief Financial Officer for Neighborhood Centers Inc. and holds a B.A. in Accounting from Lamar University.
