Matthew Rector currently serves as the City Engineer for the City of Hutto, where a complete rebuild of the engineering team and elimination of a significant project backlog were achieved. Prior experience includes roles as Team Leader and Senior Project Manager at Halff Associates and as the Civil Land Development Lead at MWM DesignGroup, where leadership of Land Development Engineers was prominent. Matthew's background encompasses various municipal engineering positions, including Executive Director of Engineering and Public Works for the City of Hutto, Public Works Director for the City of Taylor, and Assistant City Engineer for the City of Del Rio, alongside significant roles in the US Marine Corps and US Army Corps of Engineers, managing complex projects and teams. Matthew holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Management with a focus on Finance and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Missouri School of Science and Technology.
