Paul Merchlewicz

Paul Merchlewicz serves as the City Engineer for the City of Inver Grove Heights since September 2022, overseeing the Engineering Division of Public Works, including daily operations, public improvements, and compliance with engineering standards. Prior to this role, Paul held positions including Senior Transportation Engineer at Alliant Engineering, Inc., and Project Management Section Leader at the Minnesota Department of Transportation, where leadership in project management and statewide guidelines for construction projects was provided. Paul also has experience as a Project Manager at WSB & Associates, Project Engineer at TKDA, and Highway Technician for the Minnesota Department of Transportation, showcasing expertise in design, construction administration, and project oversight. Educational qualifications include a Bachelors of Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota and multiple Master’s Certificates from St. Catherine University in Strategic Management and Ethics and Leadership.
