Robert Basford serves as the Assistant City Manager for the City of Jersey Village since August 2020, where responsibilities include overseeing departments such as Parks & Recreation and Public Works. Previously, Robert held the role of Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Pearland, Texas, and the City of High Springs, managing budgets, programs, and community events. Experience also includes positions as Competitive Sports Supervisor at UF Recsports and Program Assistant for the City of Alachua, along with an internship at Gainesville Parks Recreation & Cultural Affairs. Robert holds two Master's degrees in Sport Management and Recreation Parks and Tourism, and a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management, all from the University of Florida.
