John Bosco Arends

John Bosco Arends is an experienced professional in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector, currently serving as the Group Head of Information and Network Technology Operations at the City of Johannesburg since March 2020. Arends has a diverse background in business transformation, solutions development, and strategic consulting, having previously held roles as a Solutions Executive for an independent consulting firm and EOH, as well as a Strategy Consultant for Dimension Data and Business Strategy Consultant for NEKEN & ASSOCIATES. With extensive expertise in public sector advisory, program management, and financial oversight, Arends has contributed to multiple organizations, including SAS Institute and Waymark Infotech. Arends holds various educational qualifications, including a National Diploma in Business Management from the University of Pretoria and is a Chartered CIO from the Institute of Chartered IT Professionals.
