Kristin Jones (Owens)

Kristin Jones (Owens) is an experienced public administration professional currently serving as the Assistant to the City Manager for the City of Kannapolis since January 2020. Prior to this role, Kristin held various positions within Cabarrus County North Carolina, including Budget and Performance Manager and Senior Budget Analyst, from August 2014 to January 2020. Kristin's earlier experience includes serving as a Budget and Management Analyst for the City of Kannapolis and as a Student Athletic Graduate Assistant at Appalachian State University, where leadership and organizational skills were developed. Kristin holds a Master of Public Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government, both from Appalachian State University. Additionally, Kristin has experience in grant writing and tutoring across multiple subjects.
