Ian Clowes

Ian Clowes has a diverse work experience in various planning and community development roles. Ian currently serves as the Community Development Director at the City of Katy since 2023. Previously, they were the City Planner at the City of La Porte from November 2016 to June 2023. In 2016, they also worked as a Planner II at Harris County for a brief period. From 2008 to 2016, Ian held multiple positions at the City of Pearland, Texas, including Senior Planner, Associate Planner, Planner I, and Planning Technician. Ian started their career as a Technical Analyst at Consumers Energy in 2007.

Ian Clowes began their education by attending Calvin University from 2003 to 2005, where they studied education. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and City Planning at Grand Valley State University from 2005 to 2007.
