Heather V. has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Facilitator at Herman Miller, where they supported and managed team members in the Selections department. Heather then worked as a Recruiter and later as a Recruiting Team Lead at EDUStaff, LLC, where they focused on recruiting candidates for substitute teaching and support staff positions. Heather then moved on to Ottawa Area ISD, where they served as a Human Resources Supervisor and later as a Human Resources Coordinator, providing support and administration for various HR functions. Heather then joined Van Buren Intermediate School District as a Human Resources Administrator, where they revamped the HR department by streamlining processes and creating an electronic workflow. Most recently, Heather worked as a Human Resources Manager at EBW Electronics. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Human Resources at the City of Kentwood.
Heather V. obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in English Education from Ferris State University, graduating in 2010. In 2019, they pursued a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from Central Michigan University, completing it in 2020. Currently, Heather is enrolled in Wayne State University, working towards a Master's degree in Law with a focus on Human Resources, which they are expected to complete in 2024.
