Rick Hines

Rick Hines has a diverse work experience in the field of fire and emergency services. Rick currently serves as the Fire Chief for the City of Ketchikan since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Clinical Manager for Guardian Flight, LLC from 2018 to 2021. In this role, they oversaw daily clinic operations, managed inventory, formulated budget plans, and implemented training programs. Before joining Guardian Flight, Rick worked for the Indianapolis Fire Department from 2006 to 2018. In this role, they held various positions including Firefighter, Paramedic, Educator, Special Projects Management, and EMS Supervisor. Rick had responsibilities such as reviewing EMS responses, coordinating actions with various departments and agencies, handling administrative tasks, and providing patient care.

Rick Hines is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Public Safety and Emergency Management from Grand Canyon University, which they started in 2019. Prior to this, they completed their Associate's degree in Homeland Security from Ivy Tech Community College in 2016.
