Hilary Ego serves as the Environmental Sustainability Manager for the City of La Mesa, CA since August 2020, overseeing the Climate Action Plan and developing strategies to meet the City's sustainability objectives in line with regulatory requirements. Previously, Hilary held the position of Waste Zero Coordinator at Recology, focusing on community education regarding recycling and composting. Experience also includes roles as Utility and Sustainability Specialist at San Mateo County Community College District, where sustainability initiatives were coordinated, and as a Water Quality Intern with the Southern Nevada Water Authority, engaging in water treatment operations. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Water Resources Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, complemented by minors in Solar & Renewable Energy and Marketing.
