Christopher Moews CPM has a comprehensive work experience in law enforcement. Christopher currently serves as the Chief of Police for the City of La Vergne since 2023. Prior to this, they had a long tenure with the Milwaukee Police Department. Christopher started as a Police Officer in 1996 and steadily rose through the ranks, serving as a Detective, Police Lieutenant, and finally as Captain of Police. As Captain, they were assigned to the Executive Command Patrol Bureau and later became the Commander of the Criminal Investigations Division-Violent Crimes Division. During their time at the Milwaukee Police Department, they were also appointed to the Critical Incident Review Board. Christopher Moews CPM has also served on the Board of Directors and was the Past President of the Wisconsin Association of Homicide Investigators. Christopher has a teaching background as an Instructor at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and has held a role as a Union Trustee for the Milwaukee Police Association. Earlier in their career, they gained valuable experience working for various police departments, such as the Fox Point Police Department, Wisconsin State Fair Park Police Department, and University of Wisconsin-Parkside Police Department.

Christopher Moews CPM has a diverse education history. In 1986, they attended Marquette University High School, where they did not earn a degree or specify a field of study. From 1990 to 1995, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Criminal Justice at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Christopher then took a break from formal education before attending the Northwestern University Center For Public Safety in 2010. Although they did not obtain a degree, they focused on the supervision of police personnel during this period. Most recently, in 2022 and 2023, Christopher pursued a Wisconsin Certified Public Manager degree in the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Command College at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
