William Timson (Bill)

William (Bill) Timson has extensive law enforcement experience, currently serving as the SWAT Team Commander for the LaVergne Police Department since November 2022. Timson has held multiple roles within the City of La Vergne, starting as a Police Officer in February 1996 and progressing to Police Supervisor, Police Sergeant, and eventually SWAT Team Leader since December 2000. Prior to this, Timson served as a Police Officer at Vanderbilt University from October 1992 to January 1996 and was a member of the United States Marine Corps from October 1983 to September 1992. Timson's education includes completion of the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy in 1996 and advanced training at Northwestern University in 2013.
