James Slaton

James Slaton has extensive experience in municipal management, currently serving as City Manager for the City of Lake Wales since June 2017, following roles as Deputy City Manager and Assistant City Manager. Prior to this, James held several positions within the City of Lake Wales, including Director of Public and Support Services, Director of Support Services, and Director of Information Technology from 2005 to 2017. James holds a Master of Science in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Public Administration, as well as an Associate of Science in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications, both from Polk State College.
