Jesse Miller, CEM, MSPH, currently serves as the Emergency Manager for the City of Lakewood Police Department since March 2016. Previous experience includes serving as Emergency Management Coordinator for Boulder County and Emergency Management Specialist at UCLA, where significant contributions included the development of the university's first comprehensive emergency operations plan and the implementation of an Area, Floor, and Facility Warden Program. Jesse also held the position of Associate in Homeland Security and Program Management at ICF International, participating in the Southern California Catastrophic Earthquake Emergency Response Plan with FEMA Region IX, and worked as a Graduate Technician at the County of San Diego Office of Emergency Services, coordinating public awareness campaigns and managing substantial contributions for emergency preparedness. Jesse holds a Master of Science degree in Global Emergency Preparedness and Response from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine from California Lutheran University.
