Claire Powell

Claire Powell has extensive experience in municipal management and legal affairs, currently serving as City Manager for the City of Lewisville since January 2016, after holding the position of Assistant City Manager. In this role, Claire oversees various departments including HR, Finance, Budget, Economic Development, and more. Prior experience includes serving as First Assistant City Attorney in Lewisville and as an Attorney at Abernathy Roeder Boyd & Joplin P.C., along with a previous role as Assistant City Attorney in Dallas, specializing in municipal zoning. Claire holds a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from The University of Texas at Austin and an undergraduate degree from Trinity University.
