Christian Svensk

Christian Svensk has extensive work experience in urban planning and development. Christian currently serves as the Community Development Director for the City of Lincoln, CA. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior Planner for the City of Sacramento from 2018 to 2022.

Before joining the City of Sacramento, Christian worked as a Senior Planner for Civic San Diego from 2015 to 2018. In this role, they led special projects, including the analysis of downtown office space and the evaluation of urban-infill projects.

Christian also has experience working for the Town of Truckee as a Senior Planner from 2013 to 2014. Here, they managed and processed complex planning projects and oversaw a congregate care development project.

Furthermore, they served as the Director of Planning & Development for Project Futura, Inc from 2011 to 2013. In this capacity, they worked on creating a charter city in Honduras, conducting due diligence for potential locations.

Prior to that, Christian worked for the City of South Lake Tahoe as an Associate Planner from 2007 to 2011, where they were involved in long-range planning, public outreach, and current planning.

Their early career includes a role as a Planning Specialist at Parsons from 2004 to 2007, where they supervised a team and managed entitlements for wireless facilities across the San Francisco Bay Area.
