Kristen Pawelec

Kristen Pawelec has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Kristen'smost recent position was as the Director of Community Development and Grants at the City of London, Canada, which they started in June 2021. Prior to this, they held the role of Manager of Neighbourhood and Community Initiatives at the same organization. In 2017, Kristen was the Manager of Economic Partnerships, where they supported economic partnerships and facilitated the implementation of the Community Economic Roadmap. Before that, they were a Specialist in Community Reporting and Planning and was responsible for data collection and reporting practices, as well as recommending and evaluating strategic initiatives. Kristen'searliest experience at the City of London was in the role of Intergovernmental Affairs, where they researched and made recommendations on various government initiatives and communication development.

Additionally, Kristen worked at YMCA Canada as a Project Coordinator from 2008 to 2010, where they planned, implemented, and evaluated programs for youth, and built and maintained relationships with stakeholders. Kristen also had experience at Novus Plants as a Production and Sales Coordinator from 2005 to 2007, where they supervised plant production and operations, sourced vendors, and provided customer service.

Kristen Pawelec completed a Master's of Public Administration degree at Western University from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma of Public Administration from the same institution in 2014 and 2015. Kristen also holds a Bachelor of Science Honors Specialization in Food and Nutrition and a Major in Food Management from Western University, which they completed from 2009 to 2012. In addition, Kristen Pawelec earned a Diploma in Horticulture from Camosun College between 2004 and 2006.
