Matthew Kevlin has a diverse professional background, currently serving in the Office of the City Manager for the City of Long Beach, New York, since 2014. Prior experience includes roles as a Data Coordinator and Mental Health Registrar at Mount Sinai Medical Center from June 2010 to 2013, and serving as a Field Organizer for Bloomberg BGov in early 2009, where participation was in an independent political campaign on the Republican ticket. Matthew earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from SUNY Oneonta, having studied there from 2006 to 2010, and graduated from Shenendehowa High School.

The City of Long Beach is one of only two cities on Long Island, and it currently has a population of about 35,000 people spread across two square miles of land surrounded by water.
