Matthew Lonnerstater, AICP, is an accomplished City Planner currently employed by the City of Madison Heights since September 2021. Prior experience includes roles as Development Planner and Liaison to the Urban and Neighborhood Design Review Boards in the City of Greenville, South Carolina, and Development Services Planner at Chatham County - Savannah Metropolitan Planning Commission. Previous positions include Planner and Intern at Carlisle/Wortman Associates, and various roles focused on community engagement, facility management, and planning at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, and the City of Ann Arbor. Matthew holds a Master's Degree in Urban Planning and a Bachelor of Arts in Program in the Environment with a focus on Urban Planning from the University of Michigan.
