Amanda Linehan

Amanda Linehan has served as a City Councillor for the City of Malden since November 2019 and has held the position of Communications Director at the Metropolitan Area Planning Council since October 2008, also having previously worked as Communications Manager. Prior experience includes editing a vibrant urban weekly newspaper at GateHouse Media, where Amanda led initiatives such as the Malden Observer news blog and Facebook page, while also covering various topics and managing freelancers. Amanda began the journalism career as a reporter for East Bay Newspapers. Amanda holds a BA in Journalism and Jazz Studies from The George Washington University and has pursued additional education through the Interaction Institute for Social Change and Grub Street.
